Hustle for Heroes 5K

School is done and summer has begun! That's mostly why I haven't been posting regularly as of late. Wrapping up the school year for myself and my girls has been a bit time consuming - you know, all those end of the year parties, recitals, and award ceremonies.

But, no worries! All that will change this month. I promise! Good things are planned for this space :-)

Now, let's move on to what I intended to blog about today.

A couple weekends ago, I ran the Hustle For Heroes 5K. Here's a little bit about that event:

"Join the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation (WPSF) for our 4th Annual Hustle For Heroes 5K Run/Walk & 1 mile Run as we run in honor of those law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty. All proceeds will benefit the charitable programs sponsored by the WPSF including: Shop with a Hero, Law Enforcement Explorer Unit, Police/Firefighter Assistance and several other programs."

It was a race for a great cause. However, I'd be lying if I said that was the reason I ran it.

Truth?

I just really wanted to run!

So, I messaged my running buddies, and the rest is history.

Great friends and fellowship. Great weather. Great run (time 35:35).

The truth that was emphasized to me that day - and that truth I now pass along to you - is simple:

God is good!

Today's forget-me-not:
